DOROTHY HURWITT
No service is planned for Dorothy Hurwitt, long-time Belvedere resident and community volunteer. Mrs. Hurwitt died at her home Friday after an illness.
She had lived in the Bay Area about 50 years, the last 20 years in Belvedere.
She devoted a great deal of time to helping others, including volunteering for the Meals on Wheels program and at Martin Luther King School in Sausalito.
Mrs. Hurwitt is survived by her husband, Gene Hurwitt; her daughter, Jone Caltechi; her son, Ron Hurwitt, and five grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin.
