GUY ELLIS TANNYHILL
A funeral service for Guy Ellis Tannyhill of San Rafael, the retired North Bay division superintendent for the Pacific Gas & Electric Co., is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.
Tannyhill died Saturday at the age of 74.
A native of Santa Cruz, Tannyhill first moved to Marin County when he was 19. He worked a total of 45 years for PG&E, beginning as a clerk in the San Rafael office.
He was a member of the Marin (sic) Corps, joining the reserves in 1932 and entering active duty in 1940. His six years of duty brought him to the rank of colonel.
He was wounded in the campaign on Saipan in 1944 but returned to active duty in Guam and Japan.
Tannyhill was a member of Mason Lodge No. 191.
He is survived by his wife Mildred; four daughters, Marie Tannyhill of San Rafael, Dorothy Perfetti of Petaluma, Lydia Moll of Rionido and Angie Hoover of Arizona, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the mortuary today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday after 9 a.m.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in San Francisco.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the grandfather of Terry Lyn and Lyn Marie Perfetti. Inurnment was at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
