Death Calls For Restaurant Man
Louis Camenos died early Wednesday morning at his home on Fourth street above the restaurant he had conducted here for many years. He had been ill for more than eight months. He was 62 years of age and had been in San Rafael for 19 years, coming here from San Francisco.
Camenos, whose restaurant was widely known as “Louie’s”, has had a varied experience. For a number of years he was ship’s cook on vessels that traveled to all the ports in the world. Leaving the sea while a young man, he was employed in some of the best restaurants in Paris, London, Vienna and Rome. In San Francisco he was proprietor of several eating houses, on occasions conducting two or more at the same time.
He is survived by a sorrowing widow, Mrs. Helen Camenos, and four children, who are Demo, Christina, Nickolas and Meka.
It is probably that the restaurant will continue as it has during the long illness of the deceased.
