GERALD B. SCHUYLER

Gerald Barlow Schuyler, 83, of Larkspur, died Thursday at his home after an illness.

He was a former vice president with Apex Manufacturing Co. of Cleveland, Ohio, and Berkeley and retired owner and director of Models of Industry Inc. of Emeryville, which manufactured teaching aids.

Schuyler graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1920 and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

He is a former member of the board of directors of the Berkeley Rotary Club and a member of Berkeley Lodge 363, Free and Accepted Masons.

He served with the Navy during World War I and with the Army during World War II on special assignment with the Medical Corps.

He was a native of Oceanside, who was a longtime resident of Berkeley before moving to Marin six years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Mabel D. Schuyler of Larkspur; a daughter, Nancy S. Broomhead of San Rafael; a son, John D. Schuyler of Dallas; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held Saturday at Monte’s Mission Chapel, San Rafael. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to United Parkinson’s Foundation.
