O. A. Aspden Dies After Long Illness
Funeral services were held last Monday for O. A. Aspden, who passed away Saturday at the Cottage Hospital after an illness of more than 9 months.
He had been in Marin county for 32 years, residing continuously at Las Gallinas, where he conducted a boarding house for the employees of the Patent Brickyard for 10 years and later engaged in ranching. He was 61 years of age.
Mr. Aspden was a highly respected citizen and his death caused sorrow to scores of citizens who had known and admired him. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Jane A. Aspden and two nephews, and a niece.
The funeral services held Monday at St. Raphael’s church included the celebration of a requiem high mass. Burial was made by the F. E. Sawyer Company in Mt. Olivet cemetery, San Francisco.
