DOLLY C. MARSH
A funeral for Dolly C. Marsh of San Rafael, a Marin resident for about 50 years, will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Mrs. Marsh died Saturday at a local convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 79.
She was born in Utah and moved to San Francisco about 1921. She moved to Marin about 1930.
Mrs. Marsh worked for the Montgomery Ward store in Marin for about 35 years. She was the manager of the men’s department for many years before retiring about 15 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Merle Marsh; a son, Leo R. Ballard of Nevada; a daughter, Shirley Reed of Martinez; a brother, Lawrence Hutchings of Reno, Nev.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
The family prefers contributions to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, San Rafael 94903.
