Lovable Woman Passes To Beyond
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church for Miss Mary MacKenzie, who passed away Sunday at a San Francisco hospital following an operation.
For a great many years Miss MacKenzie had made her home with her sisters, Mrs. Barbara Sims, and in her long life here had won and held the high esteem of scores of friends. She had always been active in church work, in which she took a sincere interest. Members of the classes she had taught in the past attended the funeral services in a body to pay their last respects to their beloved preceptress.
Rev. Herbert Thomson spoke feelingly in his eulogy of the admirable character of the deceased. Burial, conducted privately by the F. E. Sawyer Company, was made in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
Miss MacKenzie was the sister of Mrs. Barbara Sims and W. A. G. MacKenzie and the aunt of the late Harriet Gray, Barbara, Margaret and Gordon MacKenzie, and J. M. Sims.
