ESTELLA M. MILANO
Estella Mae Milano, mother of former Novato Mayor David Milano, died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was 81.
A native of Osage City, Kan., she was a longtime resident of Novato and was the wife of the late John Milano who died in 1978.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Novato and the Novato Senior Citizens.
Survivors include three sons, John C. Milano of Woodland, David E. Milano of Novato, and Michael F. Milano of Petaluma; four daughters, Betty Koepke of Greenbrae, Virginia Mae Bruce of Cotati, Barbara Ruth Seevers of Redding, and Suesan Ossinger of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Irene Hauss of Redwood City; 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Presbyterian Church of Novato, 710 Wilson Ave. She will be buried at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
Contributions preferred to the American Cancer Society or to the Novato Boys Club.
