MARY L. PIMENTEL
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary L. Pimentel, a longtime Penngrove resident, will be offered Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Cotati.
Mrs. Pimentel died Sunday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 81.
A native of the Azores Islands, Mrs. Pimentel came to the United States 60 years ago. She had lived in Atwater, Merced and Marin County before moving to Penngrove 34 years ago.
Mrs. Pimentel was a member of the S.P.R.S.I. Portuguese society of Sausalito and the I.D.E.S. Portuguese society of Petaluma as well as St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Her husband, Antonio F. Pimentel, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Anthony P. Pimentel of Penngrove; a daughter, Agnes Azevedo of Petaluma; two brothers, Marcelino Lewis of Santa Rosa and George Lewis of Santa Cruz; two sisters, Julia Silva of Mill Valley and Mary Valim of Santa Rosa; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 8 p.m. today at the Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the grandmother of Steven, Claudia and Paul Azevedo, Karin Buck, Antoinette, Tamara and David Pimentel and the late Janette Pimentel.
