Miss Julia Brown, former resident of San Rafael, and daughter of Mrs. Grace Brown and the late Daniel Brown, of Oakland, passed away in that city Wednesday of last week. Burial was made here last Saturday. The Browns are a well known and highly respectable colored family and have many friends in San Rafael. The deceased was a sister of Margaret E., John F. and Walter L. Brown and Mrs. D. D. Watkins.
