Wealthy Larkspur Resident Passes

Giacomo Costa, wealthy and prominent resident of Larkspur, died at his home there last Saturday after an illness of many years. He had been suffering for a long time from Paralysis, which had impaired his vocal cords, depriving him of speech, and he had spent many months under treatment of physicians for alleviation.

He was born in Italy 68 years ago. Coming to California many years ago, he engaged in business in San Francisco and amassed a fortune. He made his home in Larkspur, where he bought considerable property. The fire of 1906 destroyed several of his buildings in San Francisco.

The funeral was held Tuesday with services at St. Raphael’s Church here. The burial was made under the direction of the F. E. Sawyer Co.

The deceased is survived by a widow, Mrs. Rosa Costa, and three children, Henry and Roy Costa and Mrs. Ida Albora.
