MARY E. STERNLOFF
Private funeral services will be held for Mary E. Sternloff, 93, a longtime Mill Valley resident.
She died Thursday at a local convalescent hospital after a brief illness.
She was born and raised in Worcester, Mass. She later lived in Connecticut with her late husband, Robert Sternloff, a self-employed commercial artist.
They settled in Marin County in 1947. She had lived in Mill Valley for most of those years. Sternloff died in 1966.
Mrs. Sternloff had worked as a clerk for the federal government in San Francisco for 22 years.
She is survived by two sons, Robert G. Sternloff Jr. of Glastonbury, Conn., and Donald F. Sternloff of Belvedere; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley. The family prefers memorial gifts to favorite charities. Inurnment will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the grandmother of Donald F. Sternloff Jr. and Michael H. Sternloff, and great-grandmother of Shannon, Robert, Michael and Scott Sternloff; she was the aunt of Nancy Mitchell.
