Body Of Slain Priest Found At Salada Beach
The body of Father Patrick E. Heslin, Colma priest, missing for a week, was found late last night buried in the sands of Salada Beach, San Mateo county.
Two bullet holes, one below the heart and the other in the head, showed the cause of death. The discovery came about through words dropped by Dolly Mason, a woman of the night life, to William A. Hightower, a baker. The Mason woman told Hightower that some days ago a man had come to her room in an intoxicated condition and revealed to her the facts later related by Hightower to the authorities – the burying place of the missing priest and the manner of his death.
Father Helsin some years ago was pastor of the Church of the Assumption in Tomales.
