MILTON OSTRANDER
Milton R. Ostrander of San Anselmo, civil engineer with the Navy, died unexpectedly Saturday at a local hospital. He was 65.
Ostrander was a native of Washington. He had been a civil engineer-technician with the 12th Naval District for the past 12 years.
During World War II he served as a chief warrant officer with the Army.
Ostrander was a life member of the National Riflemen.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis, of the family home; one daughter, Sherri Ott of San Geronimo; two sons, Philip Ostrander of Sebastopol and Robert Ostrander of San Rafael, and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday evening at 7:30 at the San Geronimo Presbyterian Church.
The family prefers memorial donations to a favorite charity.
