Woman Aged Ninety-Four Called By Death
Mrs. Mallise Jane Cope, aged 94 years, passed away last Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nannie Pixley, at 328 Fifth avenue. She was the last of a family of 13 children, all of whom lived to an unusual age.
Mrs. Cope has resided in California 68 years, arriving in the state in 1853. She is survived by a son, W. T. Cope of San Francisco.
The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the F. E. Sawyer Parlors, with Dr. Lynn P. White and Rev. Thomson officiating. The remains were shipped to Santa Cruz for burial.
