SELMA BURKHARDT
A memorial service will be held next Saturday at 3 p.m. at Unity-in-Marin in San Rafael for Selma M. Burkhardt, 92, of San Rafael.
Mrs. Burkhardt died Thursday at a local convalescent hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Germany and came to this country as a young person. She had been an American citizen for 72 years.
She lived in San Francisco and Boonville, Mendocino County, before moving to San Rafael in 1957.
Her husband, Max Otto Burkhardt, and two daughters, Elizabeth Carias and Johanna Burkhardt, died earlier.
Surviving is her daughter, Alvina M. Burkhardt of San Rafael.
Memorial contributions to the Unity-in-Marin building fund, 3 Willow St., San Rafael, are preferred.
