MICHAEL SALOMONE

A funeral for Michael Salomone of San Rafael, a Marin resident for five years, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Highlands mortuary in Millbrae.

Salomone died Friday at a local hospital following a brief illness. He was 93.

Salomone was born in Torino, Italy. He came to this country as a young man and lived in San Francisco for many years. He moved to Marin five years ago.

He was a baker in San Francisco for 50 years before retiring many years ago.

He also served in the Army, and reached the rank of sergeant.

He is survived by a nephew.

The rosary will be recited at 8 tonight at the mortuary at 194 Millwood Drive, Millbrae. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
