Sudden Death Takes San Anselmo Woman
The sudden death of Mrs. Bertha Maye Lezzena at her home in San Anselmo last Thursday was a sad shock to her great number of friends. Seized with sudden illness, she passed away within half an hour after the beginning of an acute attack of heart trouble.
She was the wife of Charles Lezzena and the mother of Charles B. and Helen Olive Lezzena, and was but 32 years of age.
Many members of Marinita Parlor, of the Native Daughters, were at the Lezzena home Saturday night, and their presence, in addition to a wealth of floral pieces, attested the high regard and esteen in which the deceased was held. The remains were shipped Monday by the F. E. Sawyer Company for burial in Santa Cruz, her former home and the residence now of her father, Oliver Boyea. She was a sister of Elmer and Floyd Boyea.
