MRS. LAYTON
Funeral will be Saturday in Seattle for Marguerite Layton, a former teacher in Marin, who died Monday in the Washington city. She was 80.
Mrs. Layton, born in Iowa, came to San Rafael in 1933. She taught at Dominican College and in San Rafael public schools, retiring in 1955.
She moved first to Long Beach and then to Seattle in 1966.
Mrs. Layton took part in activities of the American Association of University Women, League of Women Voters and Pi Lambda Theta.
Survivors are two daughters, Sarah Easley of Dallas and Elizabeth Stevens of Seattle, and five grandchildren.
Parker’s Burien Memorial Chapel, Seattle, is in charge of arrangements.
