Former Local Man Passes In San Jose

News has reached here of the death one day last week of J. W. Bentchley in San Jose, following an operation.

Bentchley was well known here and esteemed by those who knew him. He came here with the establishment of the Carson Glove Company, by which concern he was employed until a few weeks ago, when he removed to San Jose with his family, comprising a wife and one child, a son. He was 44 years of age, a member of the San Rafael Lodge of Elks, and of Mira Monte Camp of the Woodmen of the World.
