MAURICE ROGER
Maurice Roger, a resident of Mill Valley, died in a local convalescent hospital Friday. He was 90.
A native of Russia, he came to the United States in 1916, first settling in Philadelphia. He lived [in] Los Angeles, New York and Berkeley before moving to Mill Valley.
He was a member of the New York Typographical Union Local 6 and the Humanists Society in Alameda.
He is survived by a son, Sidney Roger of Mill Valley; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
No funeral will be held.
The body was cremated and the ashes spread at sea under arrangements made by the Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.
The family prefers that memorial gifts be made to the donor’s favorite charity.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the grandfather of Michael and Brian Roger.
