ROBERT SIMS
Private service has been held for Robert Lee Sims, 60-year-old conservationist and businessman who died Sunday while hiking to ceremonies marking the acquisition of Marincello by Nature Conservancy.
Sims, a resident of Woodside, was president of Nature Conservancy’s Northern California chapter and was special assistant to the chairman of Bechtel Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Loomis Sims; two daughters, Mrs. Hilary Feldstein of New York City and Mrs. Julia Ball of Portland, Ore.; a son, Lee Sims of Point Reyes; a brother, Justice Richard M. Sims Jr., of Belvedere, and a sister, Mrs. Leora Sims Emery of Carmel, and three grandchildren.
