Woman Takes Own Life By Drowning

The body of Minnie Karper, a domestic and a relative of Conrad Trieber, a letter-carrier, of 115 Seventh avenue, San Francisco, was found floating in the water off the Sausalito wharf last Friday morning.

On the wharf were found her hat and a half consumed bottle of ether, which she had purchased the preceding day at a Sausalito pharmacy. Her name and the telephone number of the Trieber home were written on a piece of paper nearby.

The remains were removed to the F. E. Sawyer Company’s morgue by Coroner J. Ray Keaton and identified later by the woman’s relatives. She was 40 years of age. According to Trieber she had been despondent for some time past and had threatened to take her own life.
