CATHERINE LAUFER
A funeral service for Catherine Laufer of Novato will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin.
Mrs. Laufer died Sunday while visiting relatives in Sacramento. She was 79.
A native of New York, Mrs. Laufer had lived in Marin County since 1941. She was a member of the Novato Senior Citizens and the Nova Grandmother’s Club.
She is survived by four sons, Joseph Laufer of Richmond, Va., John Laufer Jr. of Lake Tahoe,Robert Laufer of Colorado Springs, Colo., and James Laufer of Sacramento; one daughter, Mary May of Novato; 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Keaton’s. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m.
The family prefers memorial contribution to the Novato Senior Center or your favorite charity.
