Joseph A. McMinn Dies

Funeral services were held today for Joseph Andrew McMinn, a member of the original committee that laid the groundwork for the Golden Gate Bridge, who died Friday in Healdsburg after a long illness.

Born 87 years ago, McMinn was a director of the Golden Gate Bridge and Highway district from 1928 to 1938, and his name is engraved on a tablet on the south tower as one of the span’s founders.
