Death Claims Brother Of Supervisor Barr

Supervisor Wm. Barr received the sad intelligence Monday of the death of his brother, John Barr, at Hamilton, Lamarkshire, Scotland. Word to this effect came in a letter from Mary Barr, daughter of the deceased, which stated that her father died on September 27th. He was 74 years of age, the oldest of the family of four boys.

Supervisor Barr left Scotland in 1873 and has not seen his brothers since that time. However, they have been in constant communication and the sad news of the death was a shock.
