JOHN O. HEINO
A private service for John O. Heino of Fairfax will be held Friday at Napa Valley Memorial Gardens in Napa.
Heino died August 12 in a local hospital following a brief illness. He was 91 and a native of Sawyers Bar in Siskiyou County.
Before retiring, Heino was a boat-master for the federal government and at one point ran the supply boat between San Francisco and Alcatraz. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the American Legion Post #10 in San Francisco.
Heino is survived by his wife, Mabel Heino; one sister, Mary Albro of Sacramento; six nephews and two nieces.
