JOSEPHINE SPRUANCE
A memorial service for Josephine Spruance of San Rafael will be held at the U.S. Navy Chapel on Treasure Island Monday at 10 a.m.
Mrs. Spruance died Thursday in her home following a lengthy illness. She was 62.
A native of Detroit, Mrs. Spruance graduated from Connecticut College. She was married to a career naval officer who died 10 years ago.
Mrs. Spruance is survived by her son, Raymond A. Spruance II of San Francisco; her daughter, Ellen Spruance Holscher; and one grandchild.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
