Mary Shephard

Death came suddenly and unexpectedly last Sunday night to Mrs. Mary Helen Shephard, while she sat in a chair at her home at Marin Heights, near Mill Valley. She was 74 years of age, and a native of England, and has lived in this county for the past 21 years.

Her late husband, Vernon C. D. Shephard, who died last April was a taxidermist.

Mrs. Shephard leaves to mourn her sudden death, a son, Bertram Shephard, of Marin Heights, and two granddaughters, Mrs. Day Drexler, of Mill Valley, and Dorothy Shephard of Marin Heights.

The funeral service was held this (Thursday) forenoon from the Robert F. Russell & Son chapel, Mill Valley, with interment at Cypress Lawn Cemetery. The burial rites of the Order of Eastern Star, was said, as the deceased was a member of Mill Valley Chapter No. 219.
