FRED SILVA Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Fred E. Silva Sr. of San Rafael at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mission San Rafael Arcangel.
Silva, a native of California and resident of Marin since 1936, died Saturday in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 69.
Before his retirement, Silva worked for the McNear Brick Co. in San Rafael. He was a member of the Portuguese lodges in both Novato and Sausalito.
Silva is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Silva of San Rafael; two sons, Fred E. Silva Jr. of Idaho and Ronald E. Silva of Petaluma; five brothers, Manuel Silva of Sebastopol, Harry Silva of Oakdale, Bert Silva of Petaluma and Bill Silva and Pete Silva, both of San Jose; six sisters, Alice Silva of Lakeport, Adeline Renelle of Morgan Hill and Edith Azevedo, Helen Avila, Caroline Silva and Emily Penheiro, all of San Jose and seven grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 8 tonight at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the husband of the late Angelina O. Silva. Interment , Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
