VIRGINIA GALLAGHER
Native of Novato
Virginia “Gena” Gallagher of Novato died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1992, at her home. She was 81.
She was born in Novato. She attended Burdell Elementary School.
She married Thomas Gallagher of Point Reyes in 1942. The couple ran a dairy farm in Point Reyes until they sold the property in 1945.
Mrs. Gallagher was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by three sisters, Eda Spaletta of Petaluma, Lilly McWhorter of Novato, and Helen Bianchi of Valley Ford; five brothers, Domingo Grossi and Alfred Grossi, both of Inverness, James Grossi and George Grossi, both of Novato, and Henry Grossi of Marshall; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Gallagher died in 1966.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Keaton’s Redwood Chapel of Marin in Novato. Vigil services are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial will be at Olema Cemetery in Olema.
Memorial contributions may be sent to a favorite charity.
