MICHAEL McCORMICK Sr.
Michael “Harold” McCormick Sr., a builder and 30-year resident of Novato, died in a local hospital on Saturday, He was 72.
A native of San Francisco, he moved to Novato in 1955.
He was a retired building contractor who did many apartment and home projects in Novato. Several of his homes were built in the Elm Street area during the 50’s.
He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union local 35 in San Rafael.
He is survived by his wife, Mary McCormick of Novato; one daughter, Mary Ann Tarrant of Novato; two sons, Michael H. McCormick Jr. and Dennis McCormick, both of Novato; a brother, John McCormick of San Francisco; and a sister, Mary Taylor of San Francisco; 15 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for him at 10 a.m. in Saint Raphael’s Church, San Rafael. He will be buried in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Saint Vincent’s School for Boys in San Rafael.
