George Longley Taken By Death
Death called George McKinley Longley, Tuesday, and another of San Rafael’s well known and muchly beloved men passed on. Longley died in San Francisco following an operation at St. Luke’s Hospital.
A native of California, 35 years old, he was born and raised in Marin County. He leaves a wife, Lillie Longley, and a daughter, Dorothy Jane Longley; he was a son of Annie and the late George W. Longley, and brother of Mrs. Eva Fiori, Joseph C., Oliver R., Walter S., Chester A., Harry H. and the late Thomas B. and Ray Longley and Mrs. Mary Born.
Longley at one time was an employee of the city of San Rafael and the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
Funeral services will be held for him this afternoon, under the auspices of Aerie No. 256, Fraternal Order of Eagles, of which he was a member. Interment will be made at Olema.
