JOAN KARIS PALM
Joan Karis Palm, 51, of San Rafael, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Daphne Funerals-Marin.

Private services will be held for Joan Karis Palm, a feature writer for the Oakland Tribune.
Mrs. Palm died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 51.
A native of Mount Vernon, N.Y., Mrs. Palm had worked at the Tribune from 1967 to earlier this year when she became ill.
She is survived by her daughter, Cary, of El Sobrante; a stepdaughter, Rebel Aitchison of Van Nuys; and two sisters, Mary Karis and Stella Karis-Risenfeld, both of San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
