Woman Jumps Into Bay And Drowns
The body of an unknown woman was taken from the bay off Sausalito yesterday by Coroner J. Ray Keaton. A short time before she had plunged into the waters of the bay near the piers of the Corinthian Yacht Club. The woman was aged about 45 years and a blonde. The suicide was observed by a 13 year old boy who notified Deputy Marshall O’Connor, and the Coroner was called.
At the morgue it was found that she was wearing expensive clothing. She had a wedding ring with the initials “E to A,” and a gold watch with the initials “G. E.” A postal card picture of Land’ End with the name “Mary Adams” written on the back was found in her pocket.
She wore a black moleskin coat, a blue silk dress, flesh colored stockings, black pumps, a black hat. She had a beaded bag containing a return ticket to San Francisco and leather key case with four keys on it.
A set of upper and lower plates of teeth will help to identify the woman.
