ALWIN I. SPRAGUE

Alwin Ingles Sprague, a carpenter on the construction team that built the Golden Gate Bridge, died Sunday night in a Fairfield convalescent home. He was 84.

A native of South Dakota, Sprague lived in Marin during World War II and again from 1972 to 1975. He worked in many parts of the Bay Area as a carpenter.

He is survived by his two sons, Robert R. Sprague of San Rafael and Stanley Charles Sprague of Saratoga.

No services will be held.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
