Death Calls For Brother of Coroner
Charles F. Keaton, brother of Corner J. Ray Keaton, passed away last Saturday at his home in Guerneville after an illness of many months.
Coroner Keaton was called Saturday morning to see his brother, but upon his arrival found him unconscious. Death occurred a few hours later.
The funeral took place Tuesday at Guerneville, where the deceased had passed most of his life, and where he was well known. The family is one of the best known in the Guerneville section, Mr. Keaton, Sr., a Civil War veteran, having located there not many years after he was discharged from service.
The surviving relatives are the father and mother, John and Hattie Keaton, three sisters, Elizabeth Keaton, Mrs. Elbert Guerne and Mrs. M. Palmer, and two brothers, J. Ray Keaton and William Keaton. The deceased was 42 years of age.
The funeral arrangements were made by J. Ray Keaton, of the F. E. Sawyer Company.
