CATHERINE O’SULLIVAN
Catherine Mahoney O’Sullivan of San Francisco, a summer resident of Marin and mother of James D. Mahoney of San Rafael, died Monday at her home. She was 82.
Mrs. O’Sullivan was a native of Ireland. She moved to this country and to San Francisco five years ago.
She worked for 46 years as a nurse at San Francisco General Hospital, retiring about eight years ago.
She was a summer resident of Fairfax for many years. She was married to Dennis J. O’Sullivan who died several years ago.
Mrs. O’Sullivan was past president of the East Mission Improvement Association of San Francisco and the Third Order of St. Francis.
Besides her son, she is survived by another son, F. John Mahoney of San Francisco; four brothers, John and Michael Hynes of New York and Michael Hynes of New York and James and Thomas Hynes of Ireland; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Driscoll’s Mortuary in San Francisco.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Apostleship of the Sea or a favorite charity.
