RICHARD LUCIA

Richard B. Lucia, 50, of San Rafael, died Tuesday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Arrangements were pending at Monte’s Mission Chapel, San Rafael.

RICHARD B. LUCIA

A recitation of the rosary for Richard B. Lucia of San Rafael, a Marin resident for more than 20 years, will be held Friday at Monte’s Mission Chapel mortuary in San Rafael.

Lucia died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was 50.

He was a native of Pennsylvania. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He moved to Marin in 1956. He worked for 15 years as a security guard for the National security Office in San Francisco.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lucia; a stepson, Peter W. Escallier of San Rafael; two brothers, Leonard Lucia of Connecticut and Albert Lucia of New York; and five sisters, Ann Lucia of Massachusetts, Alvida Farr of New York, Ann McEvoy of Connecticut, Josephine Rich of Pennsylvania and Barbara Lucia of Massachusetts.

The family prefers memorial donations to the cancer research section of the University of California at San Francisco.
