RICHARD MOSS

A funeral for Richard Knight Moss, 16-year-old Sir Francis Drake High School junior, will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in San Rafael.

Moss died Sunday of injuries suffered in an auto accident.

He was born in Virginia but came to Marin County with his family when he was a young child. He lived in Fairfax until recently, attending Manor, Central and White Hill schools.

The family recently moved to Nicasio.

He went with his family to Malaysia for about three years, returning to Marin about two years ago. He played baseball at Drake High last year and was also a member of the youth group at St. Paul’s Church.

Surviving are his parents, Richard and Jocelyn Moss, and his sister, Wendy Moss, all of Nicasio, and his grandparents, the Rev. and Mrs. Herman Anker of Tennessee and Dr. and Mrs. Warner Moss of Virginia.

Inurnment will be private.

The family prefers memorial gifts to St. Paul’s Church Memorial Fund.

Friends may call at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo between 5 and 9 p.m. today.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the nephew of Dorothy Rogers of Texas, Anne Moss of Virginia and William Moss of Massachusetts.
