MRS. NOVAK
Funeral for Anna Melitta Novak of Novato was held today at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato. Burial was at Angeles Abbey Memorial Park in Compton, Butte County.
Mrs. Novak, 83, died of a stroke Thursday at her home at 702 Tamalpais Avenue, according to her family.
A native of Nova Scotia, Mrs. Novak came to the U.S. in 1929 and lived in Southern California until moving to Novato in 1968.
She was a member of the Methodist Church of Novato and the Novato senior citizens and grandmothers clubs.
Surviving are two daughters, Gladys Stephens of Novato and Neva Hodkins of Oakland; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the grandmother of Shand Stephens, Janice Baril and Norman Williams, and the great-grandmother of Annalisa Baril.
