DAY – In San Rafael, Jan. 29, Timothy Day, beloved father of Henry J., Annie and Thomas M. Day, a native of Charlesville, County Cork, Ireland, aged 72 years.

Death of T. Day

After an illness of several weeks, Timothy Day, one of our best known citizens, passed peacefully to his rest on Sunday last. Mr. Day had lived in San Rafael for over thirty years and left not an enemy behind. He was a man of warm and generous impulses, a stalwart in his friendships, politics and general convictions. The principle of loyalty was deeply planted in his nature and when once he gave his adherence to a cause, it took little short of a miracle to shake his faith. Yet he was considerate of the opinions of others, and though he took quite a part in many political campaigns, he always enjoyed the kindly regard of the other side.

Mr. Day became a widower shortly after he settled in San Rafael. He leaves two sons and a daughter to mourn his loss. Many friends followed his remains to their last resting place at Mount Olivet cemetery.
