HUBERT FENSTERMAKER
Hubert Fenstermaker of San Rafael, a Marin resident for about 34 years, died unexpectedly at his home Thursday. He was 63.
Fenstermaker was born in Arizona and raised there. He worked as a butcher until the outbreak of World War II when he joined the Army.
He served in the Pacific Theater.
Fenstermaker settled in California following the war and lived in Marin since about 1946. He worked as a butcher for Cala Foods in Marin for many years.
He was a member of the Butcher Local No. 115 of Marin and the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 256 of San Rafael.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Fenstermaker; four sons, Marshall Fenstermaker of San Diego, Richard Fenstermaker of Cotati, and John and Steven Fenstermaker of San Rafael; two brothers, Ralph Fenstermaker of Arizona and Joseph Fenstermaker of Los Angeles; two sisters, Edna McLure and Jessie Breckenridge, both of Arizona; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
