JOHN PRESCOTT, died in St. Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco, this (Thursday) forenoon after great and prolonged suffering with hip disease. Poor little Johnny was at one time employed on the News and to the last had hoped to get well and get back to his case again. He was a bright, honest and kind-hearted boy and was well liked by all. We know his once buoyant spirit is free and happy now and the hapless orphan child revels in the sweet joys of his eternal Father’s mansions.
