EDDIE GREGOIRE
Arrangements are pending for a memorial service for Eddie Gregoire, 26, a San Rafael resident for the past several years.
He drowned Friday in a work accident on a barge in San Rafael.
He was born in Marin City and lived there with his family until moving to San Francisco as a young boy. He lived there for 12 years before moving back to Marin City.
He attended Martin Luther King School in Sausalito and graduated from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley.
He was a heavy equipment operator but had been a barge loader at the time of his death for Basalt Rock Co. in San Rafael.
He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 3 of Ignacio.
Gregoire is survived by his mother, Florence Times of Marin City; his father, Edward Gregoire Sr. of Los Angeles; three sisters, Jennette Atkins and Eddie Mae Gregoire, both of Los Angeles, and Joan Ukpong of Iowa; a son, Quentin Armand Gregoire of Marin City; two daughters, Taria Nichol Gregoire and Cynthia Luzeda Gregoire, both of Marin City.
The family prefers contributions to the American Cancer Society.
