MARY C. ARENA

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary C. Arena of San Rafael, a Marin resident for 16 years, will be said Friday at 10:45 a.m. at St. Anselm’s Church in San Anselmo.

Mrs. Arena died Tuesday in a San Francisco hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 81.

She was born in San Jose and lived in the East Bay until 1964 when she moved to Marin County. She was a widow.

She was a retail clerk with Louis Stores in the East Bay for about 15 years before retiring.

She is survived by a son, Joseph I. Arena of San Anselmo, three sisters and three brothers.

Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in San Pablo. The family prefers memorial donations to the Immaculate Heart Monastery of Poor Clare Nuns, 28210 Natoma Road, Los Altos Hills, Calif. 94022.
