GIUSEPPE TORRENTE
PAUL J. TORRENTE
A memorial service for Guiseppe Torrente and Paul J. Torrente, father and son, will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. at t he Sts. Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco.
The two men were killed Monday when they were lost aboard a fishing boat off Point Bonita in the early morning hours. Giuseppe was 72 and his son was 40.
The elder Torrente was a San Francisco resident and a commercial fisherman for more than 50 years. He was a native of Italy.
He was a member of the San Francisco Athletic Club.
His son was in the bar and restaurant business in S.F for the past 20 years. He was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco.
He was a Walnut Creek resident.
The men are survived by Jennie Torrente of San Francisco, the elder Torrente’s wife and mother of Paul; Peter Torrente of Belvidere, son of Giuseppe and brother of Paul; Pauline Ball of Lafayette and Antoinette Reif of Wisconsin, daughters of Giuseppe and sisters of Paul; and five grandchildren of Giuseppe.
