WILLIAM FRANCIS COOPER
Video producer
William Francis Cooper of Sausalito died Wednesday. Nov. 14, 1990, as a result of injuries suffered in an accident in Hayward. He was 38.
Mr. Cooper was a native of Marin County. He had lived in Sausalito since 1979, prior to which he lived 23 years in Terra Linda.
He attended the College of Marin and Evergreen State College in Washington state and began a career in video and film. He worked for 10 years with Presbyterian Hospital’s Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, producing educational and training videos, and three years ago began his own video/film production business.
He was active in numerous film organizations, including the International Interactive Communication Society, for which he served as treasurer; International Television Association; Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers; and the San Francisco Bay Area Film and Tape Council.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Day Cooper of Novato; a brother, James A. Cooper of Windsor; and a sister, Anne C. Reagan of Novato.
Private services will be held aboard the yacht “Naiad.”
Donations are preferred to the video department of the College of Marin or a favorite charity.
Arrangements are by the Neptune Society of San Rafael.
