Sudden Passing of Mrs. H. H. Hollister
Another San Rafael Home is Saddened by Death
A severe shock to our entire community was the sudden death of Mrs. Harry H. Hollister on the afternoon of Friday, the 25th.
Mrs. Hollister, accompanied by her husband had gone to Dr. Davis’ office to be treated for a sore throat. She appeared relieved for a short time and on preparing to return to her home, she was seized with an attack of heart failure, expiring almost instantly in her husband’s arms.
Joint funeral services were held over the remains on Sunday morning, at the Odd Fellows Hall. Rev. J. U. Simmons officiated, and the Fraternal Brotherhood and Woodwardia Circle, No. 633, Women of Woodcraft, of which the deceased was an honored member, participated in the last sad rites.
At the conclusion of the ceremonies the body was shipped to the home of relatives in San Jose, in which city the interment took place Monday.
Grace Estelle Hollister was born in California 28 years and 2 months ago, and has resided in San Rafael for the past 7 years. She is survived by her husband, Harry H. Hollister, and 2 young sons. Mrs. Hollister was beloved by all who knew her, and her sudden demise is a blow to the wide circle of friends.
