ROBERT MANZONI
Robert “Babe” Manzoni, a rancher and active sportsman in the Sonoma area for 36 years, died Sunday in a Sonoma hospital after a brief illness. He was 67.
Members of the hunt club to which he belonged will be honorary pall bearers at the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Bates, Evans and Fehrensen mortuary in Sonoma.
He was born in Novato and served in the Army during World War II before moving to Sonoma.

He was an honorary member of the Novato Fire Department and a life member of the Druids lodge in Novato, a member of the Elks Lodge in Petaluma and of the Sonoma Parlor, Native Sons of the Golden West.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Manzoni of Sonoma; a son, Danny Manzoni of Sonoma; a sister, Lena Belaski and a brother, Frank Manzoni, both of Novato, and two grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be private, at Cypress Hill Cemetery, Petaluma.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the brother-in-law of Lesley Haire of Sonoma; grandfather of Roxann and Billy Manzoni, both of Sonoma.
